Mistletoe & Holly Christmas cards

Hello everyone!
I know, I am hanging my head down in shame! I have tried several times to create so that I can share with you but unfortunately health issues have put that on hold. More on my health will come very soon on my main blog, Jo's Scrap Shack. Make sure you follow that blog so that you can get the update on me.

Well good news is that I was able to squeeze in some time to make my Christmas cards for this year. So happy that I receive my Paper Pumpkin kits each month because November's kit has allowed me to create these 10 gorgeous cards!!! Take a look!

Here is card 1.

Here is card 2.

This kit was amazing to work with! As you can see from the 2 card styles that I made, the cards were simple, not over the top but look like I spent a good amount of time on them. I literally put all ten cards together in under an hour!

The kit came with the ten card bases already scored, 2 of each design. It came with the exclusive stamp set that included the "noel" stamp, the "seasons greetings" sentiment and the inside sentiment on both cards, "Happy Holidays". It also came with a holly leaf stamp, a "joy" stamp that is the same as the "noel" one, and another sentiment that says, "merry & bright". The kit also came with a cherry cobbler ink spot, 10 printed envelopes, 3 sheets of dies cuts (the misteltoe and holly leaves), 5 large squares and 5 small squares, 50 white pearls, 50 red pearls, 5 large rectangles, 8 yards of linen thread, 200 adhesive dots, and 2 sheets of two different sizes of dimensionals. If you ask me, that is an amazing kit and all the work has been done for you! No hunting for matching papers, no cutting, no scoring! Definitely worth the $19.95 value!

If you like this particular kit for yourself or would like to try out Paper Pumpkin, just go HERE .

My hope for the new year is that I will be able to do more crafting and really try to build up my card stash. I have a lot of things on my "to do" list and I hope that the new year will bring me better health, so that I will be able to accomplish all of these things. My desire is to create for you and bring you new ideas, techniques and products that you can get inspired and motivated to make beautiful crafts too! I hope each and every one of you have a beautiful holiday season! Happy Holidays!!!!

Until next time, Enjoy life's blessings~

I'm making a come back~

Hello Friends,
It has been quite awhile since I have posted here. I want to apologize first, so I am sorry for just abandoning this blog. I had a lot of things going on when I started this blog and if I am to be 100% honest, I had a full plate and thought I could do it all. Sadly, I could not.

I wanted to keep up with this blog and start creating more but the truth is, this summer was the busiest I have been in many years. It was also the most painful summer I have had. I had a total of 9 birthdays, 1 wedding (renewal of vows), two dance recitals, many doctor appointments and tests, and lots of visitors! I had a week long stay from my one aunt during the summer and then I had another aunt/uncle come stay for nearly two weeks during their summer vacation. I live right off the water down the shore so they just decided to all come to my house this summer for their vacations. Shortly after all my company left, I had another friend fly in from Australia and stayed for two weeks. So needless to say, I really am sorry and thought that I could do everything and when I realized I couldn't, I had to let some things go for awhile. This blog was in that list of things that I had to just put off.

Now I am ready to get back into bringing this blog some awesome new and fun creations!! I am working on researching a good software to help me with videos too! Yes Videos!!!! :)

Stay tuned for a project coming to the blog here. I am happy to get back into crafting and showing you all the wonderful new products that Stampin Up has come out with. You will just LOVE the new Holiday catalogue goodies!!!

If you have stayed here and read this far, THANK you! I hope to motivate and inspire you to create awesome projects for this holiday season!

Until next time, Enjoy life's blessings~

I'm back from MIA, a video and some winners~

Hello everyone!
I am so sorry that I have been MIA. I have had a really rough two weeks. I was sick for what seemed like forever and I just did not have the strength to get in my craft studio and create. With being a sick woman already, day to day activity is limited and can come to a dead halt if my pain levels are up high. But getting sick on top of being sick is a whole different story. But I am on the mend now and I was able to find time to put together a short video for you today. But before I get to the video, I do have some long overdue winners to announce. For those of you who remember, I had a live Ustream for Paper Pumpkin signups. I had let everyone know that if they had signed up during that week with a 3 month Paper Pumpkin subscription, that they would be in the drawing to win some cardstock, an ink pad and some dimensionals.
The winner of that prize pack is......
JOYCE T.
And the winner of the gift bag kit is......

I couldn't watch at work as I have no speakers...now I see Mint Macaron would be my New favorite!

Congratulations ladies! Please email me at Joann6274 at gmail dot com with your mailing addresses so that I can get these goodies sent out to you.

Now here is the video I have for you today. I have been having issues all day with my camera with taping issues so unfortunately, the video is not able to be centered as usual but still viewable. Enjoy!

Until next time, Enjoy life's blessings~

Help me and the reward may be yours!

Hello Friends,
I wanted to give you a little update on my Paper Pumpkin boot camp. I made it to our victory week!!! I am in week six and on Tuesday (my birthday yay!), I graduate from boot camp! I am so happy that I decided to do this boot camp because I learned so much about Paper Pumpkin and why these kits totally rock! I am totally gung ho on these kits! I know, silly right? LOL

Okay so I do need a little help from you though. I have the chance to win the grand prize which is a $100 shopping spree with Stampin Up. So here is my little dilemma... I need 1 more person to join Paper Pumpkin on a 3 month subscription to qualify for that grand prize and I would need that person to sign up and join by Monday. Do any of you want to try out Paper Pumpkin and help a girl out? :)

What I am going to do though if I get your help is this:
  • If I win the grand prize, I am going to randomly choose 2 of my current paper pumpkin subscribers and gift them $50 shopping sprees to Stampin' Up!!!
  • If I do not win the grand prize, I am going to give away one of May's paper pumpkin kits to the person who joined first, to help me out.
May's Paper pumpkin kit is sooo adorable! If you were at my live UStream, then you were able to see it all but if you were not here, I will just tell you that the kit involves balloons, gift bags and is so fun!! So hopefully the kit will find a home with YOU!

Please keep in mind, if you decide to join, there is still the 50% off promotion going on! You will save half off your first two months when you purchase the 3 month subscription. Not bad right? But this promotion is only good until June 10th. If you want to read more about Paper pumpkin just keep on reading below!

 ***** PROMOTION
Get half off the first two months that you join up with Paper Pumpkin!!! Promotion is only good until 11:59pm, June 10th. To order your Paper Pumpkin monthly kit subscriptions, click HERE . To learn more about Paper Pumpkin, read below.

Want to know more about Paper Pumpkin?? Let me give you all the details and build up your excitement!! Paper Pumpkin comes in a monthly subscription where you can lock in month to month, order a 3 month subscription, a 6 month or a 12 month subscription. The more months you sign up for, the greater the savings! The best PP prepaid subscription kit to purchase is the 3 month kit. Why do you ask? Well, each month's kit is something different. One month it can be a card kit, the next it could be a home decor project and so on. And you may get a kit that you don't connect with too much but the next month's kit might be something you just adore and love! If you only sign up for one month, you will not get to experience the kit in its entirety because you will miss out on other projects and all the goodies that are jammed packed inside this box. My best suggestion would be to give the three months a try! You love to craft right? And Stampin Up has taken the guess work out of it for you! You don't have a lot of time? No problem! Just sit down and create a project in just  half an hour! These kits were designed specifically for people who love to craft, who don't have a lot of time to dedicate to crafting and for those who get frustrated because they do not know what to do. If that sounds like you, then these kits are for YOU! Give it a try! I promise you won't be disappointed. I have already done one of the kits and oh my lord, I loved it! New In Colors & some cards~

Hello Friends!
How are you all enjoying your Memorial day weekend? It has been a madhouse here at the shore! It seems like everyone was here. There are no parking spaces anywhere along the streets. Thank goodness I have my own parking spot. All weekend long I have smelled the many delicious scents of people grilling. I have heard the laughter and voices of children playing and I have even heard and seen the many late nighters staggering down the street from having one too many drinks at the club. It has been eventful and it reminded me that summer has officially begun here at the shore!

So I have been playing around with the new 2015-17  in colors from Stampin Up and I have two cards to share with you but before I do, I wanted to remind you that there is only one day left to get this week's weekly deals.

Ok so here are my cards....

I made both cards the same and both were completed in under 15 minutes. I used the retiring stamp set A Round Array .. product ID #129090. Here is a photo of the set.
UNSET
I used the first stamp in the bottom row to create my own stamped background. The cardstock I used on both cards were the new In colors, Watermelon Wonder and Mint Macaron and I used the same color inks to stamp that cute round image to create a tone on tone affect. Then I had used a new stamp set called "Friendly Wishes" product ID #139579 to stamp the sentiment onto a 3x3 piece of white cardstock that I had watercolored. I took the Watermelon Wonder and the Mint Macaron inks and stamped them on my non stick mat. I then took a brush and some water and created a nice water colored wash for these 3x3 pieces. Once they were dry, I took my Ranger archival black ink and stamped the sentiment. I added some wink of stella to the word "Friend" and the little heart on the sentiment and I also added it on each little stamped image on the background. That cute lace you see is the new lace trim added in the in color, Tip Top Taupe. I added just a strip of it across the card to bring in another color and I figured that the Tip Top Taupe was perfect as its a neutral. As you can see, it goes together beautifully with both colors. To finish off the cards, I added some glossy accents to the little hearts on the sentiment and added some pearl sequins.

All of these new products will be available on June 2nd when the catalogue goes live! That just so happens to be my birthday so what a huge celebration!!!! And if you like the stamp set I used to create my background, click HERE to get it now while supplies last because it is retiring!!! Once it is gone, that is it.
Well my friends thanks for stopping by!

Until next time, Enjoy life's blessings~
